Creating Transaction Types
The Enterprise Controller, when required, can create new transaction types. For example, if a contaminated batch of a product has been identified, a new transaction type that covers the return of such goods, could be created for the life of the recall program to make associated transactions easily identifiable.
To create a transaction type:
1. Select the Admin tab then select the
Transaction Types option from the left-hand side of the page;
2. From the Transaction Types page, click
Add Transaction Type;
3. From the Transaction Type Edit page, enter a name for the
Transaction Type;
4. Enter a meaningful
Description for the transaction type;
5. Activate the
Credit? flag to set the transaction type to a negative (credit);
The default for a normal transaction is a positive (debit).
6. Select a
Transaction Group for the transaction type to be associated with from the drop-down list;
It is imperative that all required Transaction Types exist for every Card Account.
