Modifying System GL Codes

This feature is similar to personal GL codes, however the Enterprise Controller modifies them at a system level. A modified system GL code will affect all Account Holders to whom they are assigned. For example, you business wishes to update the description on a series of existing Account codes.

To modify a system GL code:

1. Select the Admin tab then select the System GL Codes option from the left-hand side of the page;

2. From the System GL Codes page, select a GL segment from the drop-down list;

3. Enter "%%" into either the Code or Description fields and click Search;

4. From the System GL Codes list, click the Edit GL Code icon associated with the GL code to be modified;

5. From the System GL Code Edit page, modify the Description;

6. Click Update Changes.

Tip:

If required, click the associated Edit GL Code icon and de-activate the Active flag if the segment code is not to be used.
